Onshore and offshore wind farms are large and notoriously complex projects that involve heavy financial investment and include numerous players at different levels, from construction planning to operation and maintenance. Often contractual parties are committed for the long term and require close cooperation to make things work.
Renewable energy projects are not limited to European offshore projects in the North Sea, but also Asia and the Americas. The need for renewable energies to meet CO2 reduction targets will trigger a further proliferation of such projects globally.
Please join us when we discuss the topic with Chantal-Aimée Doerries KC (Atkin Chambers), Huang Shilin (Rajah&Tann), Christian Johansen (Bruun & Hjejle), Kai-Uwe Karl (GE Vernova), Christopher Lau SC (3VB), Georg Scherpf (Clyde&Co), Sophia Von Dewall (Vanguard Disputes), and Johanna Wirth (DIS Board Member). We will cover factual and legal challenges of these projects, typical dispute resolution mechanisms used – dispute adjudication boards and arbitration – and discuss experiences. Are we all set right on the disputes side?
