Corporate DIS members can now authorize employees or members of their organs to exercise their membership rights at DIS general assemblies. The DIS General Assembly has amended the DIS articles of association to that effect on 14 September 2023.
With this deviation from the legal situation under the German law of associations, DIS membership gets more attractive for corporate members including Chambers of Industry and Commerce and companies. Proof of authorization must be provided in text form at the beginning of the general assembly at the latest. DIS provides a form to facilitate authorization which can be retrieved here.
