The second edition of the Berlin Dispute Resolution Days from 12 to 15 September 2023 has well exceeded our expectations. A total of 25 events were held with more than 120 international speakers. Its flagship event, the DIS Autumn Conference, attracted a new all-time high of 381 delegates from 22 countries. It drew a world map of arbitration in the 21st century and determined what to find in Germany. Efficiency, settlements, the arbitration-friendliness of German courts and the new German arbitration law were discussed from an inside and an outside perspective.
As always, the DIS40 Autumn Conference provided an excellent opportunity for the younger generation to meet. The DIS Industry Groups Construction, Energy and Franchise hosted well-attended events. The new Bilateral Arbitration Groups with Italy, the Netherlands and Spain attracted members as well as non-member to their events.
For the first time, GAR Live Berlin was held during the Berlin Days. Several other side events have added to the attractiveness of the Berlin Days. Thank you to all who have engaged in hosting events – and of course to everybody who came to Berlin to attend!
