Every two years, the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) awards a DIS Sponsorship Award valued at 10,000 € for an outstanding academic dissertation (doctoral thesis, habilitation) in the field of arbitration or alternative dispute resolution.
The award is open to persons who are 35 and under the day their application was submitted to the DIS. To be eligible for consideration, works must have been evaluated after the closing date of the previous round of application submissions (30 June 2023). Applicants are required to submit five copies of their work, including the academic evaluations, to the DIS Bonn office by 30 June 2025 at the latest.
The decision will be made by a jury consisting of, Siegfried H. Elsing, Joachim Münch, Dorothee Ruckteschler and Antje Baumann. Baumann replaces Ingeborg Schwenzer, who resigned from the jury after five years. The DIS Board would like to thank her and all the other jury members for their great commitment, without which it would be impossible to conduct the contest
Please share and distribute the announcement so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to participate. All information and conditions for participation can be found in the announcement.
We would be pleased if you supported us in promoting young academics in the field of alternative dispute resolution, and would be happy to welcome as many participants as possible.
