The European Union's AI Regulation is the focus of much attention. We invite you to join us at this edition of the Lunch DIScussions to explore the implications of using AI in arbitration and the relevant provisions of the AI Regulation.
The first course will provide a brief overview of the AI Regulation – how is it structured? What is a high-risk AI system? What are the obligations for operators or users of AI systems? We will then move on to the personal and territorial scope of the AI Regulation. Thirdly, we will discuss the question of the necessity of a disclosure requirement regarding the use of AI systems in arbitral proceedings.
These and other topics will be explored by Ilka Beimel (Noerr), Christoph Lüttenberg (YPOG) and Simon J. Heetkamp (TH Köln). For the sake of a lively exchange, the speakers will (also) present positions that do not necessarily reflect their own views. The audience is expressly invited to join the discussion and ask questions.
