What is your role at the DIS?

As Counsel in the DIS Case Management Team, I support parties and arbitral tribunals in the efficient conduct of arbitral proceedings and provide legal advice to the DIS.

What path led you to the DIS?

My path to the DIS began with a lecture on international arbitration at the University of Bonn. I then delved deeper into arbitration during my LL.M. and gained insights into investment arbitration. Ultimately, my interest in the world of arbitration was sparked by my legal traineeship at a law firm.

What do you particularly appreciate about your work?

I value the unique perspective my role provides in observing the behind-the-scenes workings of complex cases.

This insight is fascinating and deepens my understanding of arbitration. I'm fortunate to work with such kind and supportive colleagues who have warmly welcomed me to the DIS team.

What motivates you?

I’m motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the development and internationalisation of arbitration in Germany. Helping parties resolve conflicts efficiently and being part of this dynamic field really drives my enthusiasm.

How would you describe the DIS in three key words?

Confidential, proficient and increasingly international

Tell us a fun fact we should know about you?

If I hadn’t studied law, I’d probably be living by the sea in southern Italy, sharing the best hidden spots for pasta and gelato on my travel blog. But even as a lawyer, I still write about my adventures in the travel section of the newspaper from time to time.
