On 20 June 2024, the DIS regional group Rhine/Ruhr organized its first event discussing the new Supplementary Rules for Third-Party Notices (DIS-TPNR) which took effect in March 2024.
After a concise introduction by David Quinke, he and fellow panellists Almuth Vorndran and Eric Decker had a discussion about the new rules. The panellists entered into a lively exchange about the advantages and disadvantages of the DIS-TPNR with the audience. The DIS-TPNR were thereby scrutinised from the user’s and the counsel‘s perspective, intensively discussing, inter alia, the situations for which the DIS-TPNR are best suitable and how the third party, e.g. the subcontractor, can be convinced to agree to the DIS-TPNR.
