Join us for part two of our virtual event series on “Arbitration in Africa” which will focus on arbitration in the region of ODAHA, the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa. The OHADA, designed to promote legal certainty and foster economic integration among its 17 member states, has streamlined and modernized business law in the region.
Our panel of experts will discuss the key aspects of the uniform arbitration framework established by the OHADA and how it is implemented across member states. The discussion will also focus on the crucial role of the CCJA, as not only being responsible for controlling the application of OHADA law but also acting as a hub for arbitration in the region. Our expert panel will highlight the specificities of arbitration rules and practices within the different OHADA member states, providing a comprehensive overview of what German-speaking businesses and lawyers who may someday have recourse to arbitration within the OHADA region may expect.
This panel discussion is a must-attend event for those with an interest in international arbitration and business law in Africa.
The event is a virtual event. The discussion will be held in English and followed by two rounds of speed dating (8 minutes each) between the participating practitioners from Africa and Europe.
