What is your role at the DIS?
I am a Counsel at the DIS. Together with the Case Administrators, I am part of the Case Management Team, where we administer proceedings according to the DIS Rules.
What path led you to the DIS?
After graduating from law school in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and working there as a lawyer for almost 5 years, I decided to do my LL.M. in Germany, at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. This was a great opportunity to start an international career and work in arbitration, a field I have long been interested in. Applying for the DIS was a suggestion from friends also working in arbitration and instantly felt like a perfect fit – there I could use my previous experience and dive deep in the study of alternative dispute resolution.
