Dear members, colleagues and friends,

Spring is in the air and so is the buzz of activity at DIS! Our latest statistics are out, showing a significant increase in high-value, complex disputes with a robust international component. This growth is a clear indication that businesses around the world trust us as their first port of call for dispute resolution.

In our continuing effort to serve you better, we are refining our internal processes, particularly the arbitrator selection process. We kindly ask you to help us by updating your profiles in our database. This small step on your part will help us immensely in matching the right arbitrator with the right dispute and in ensuring that all parties receive the best support for their needs. Thank you in advance for your cooperation: It really does make a difference.

At the same time, we are expanding our global network. I am pleased to report that we have recently entered into a cooperation agreement with the Japan Arbitration Association and have established new bilateral country groups with Brazil and Finland. These efforts not only expand our international footprint but also promote cross-border knowledge and dialogue.

I am also proud to report a personal milestone: I have been elected to the Council of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions. This honour reflects the hard work and reputation of our entire DIS team on the international stage. I look forward to using this opportunity to foster stronger links between commercial arbitration institutions around the world and to increase our visibility and influence.

And, as always, we are on the move! In the coming weeks, our paths may cross in London, Belgrade, Hamburg, Paris, Vienna or perhaps at our Spring Conference in Stuttgart. I look forward to meeting many of you soon and hearing about your latest experiences and insights.

Warm regards,

Ramona Schardt
