Since its inception, the German Arbitration Digest (GAD) has released numerous summaries of recent significant decisions by the German Federal Court of Justice and various higher regional courts in the realm of international commercial and investment arbitration.

Launched jointly by DIS and DIS40 on 12 September 2024, GAD is a pioneering online initiative aimed at overcoming the language barriers in arbitration-related case law. It provides detailed summaries of rulings from Germany's highest courts, translating them into English for a global audience.

GAD serves as a valuable resource for lawyers, courts, and users around the world by offering easy access to German arbitration jurisprudence, thereby enhancing the predictability of legal outcomes. Furthermore, it not only highlights the handling of arbitration cases in Germany but also enriches the global Case Law on UNCITRAL Texts (CLOUT) database.

Recent publications include:

The project has seen the enthusiastic participation of over 100 young dispute resolution experts from the DIS40 community. Each case summary is meticulously reviewed by seasoned arbitration practitioners, ensuring a high standard of expertise and insight.
