On 22 November 2024, the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) hosted its DIScover Arbitration event at the stunning Art Lounge rooftop in Athens, as part of the Athens Arbitration Days 2024. This exclusive gathering brought together key stakeholders from Greece and beyond, including legal heads, partners of major law firms, and arbitration practitioners.

The event spotlighted measures of the DIS Arbitration Rules designed to enhance efficiency in arbitration. Such measures were introduced in a presentation of the DIS and the DIS Arbitration Rules. In an engaging discussion moderated by Gregory Logothetis, member of the DIS Arbitration Council, Christopher Boog and Chun-Kyung Paulus Suh shared their insights on practical tools and mechanisms available under the DIS Rules and its practice. The interactive Q&A session enriched the conversation, allowing participants to explore these efficiency-driven measures in greater detail.

The event concluded with a networking and wine reception, offering attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas and forge connections in an inspiring setting. Organized in collaboration with and sponsored by Koutalidis Law Firm, this event reaffirmed the DIS’s commitment to promoting innovative arbitration practices and fostering international collaboration.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants and our partners for contributing to the event's success.
