As the year draws to a close and the scent of mulled wine fills the air, it is time for reflection – and time to reflect on arbitration case law. We invite you to an inspiring keynote speech by Thomas Winter, a lawyer at the Federal Court of Justice.

He will guide us through the most recently discussed decisions of the Federal Court of Justice on the setting aside of arbitral awards, in order to shed light on the role the Federal Court of Justice plays in arbitration. This raises the question: does the Federal Court of Justice merely check the correctness of arbitral awards or does its interference sometimes cause a surprise under the Christmas tree?

Over a glass of mulled wine and Christmas delicacies, we let the impressions of the evening sink in and look forward to the exchange in a cosy atmosphere.
