What is your role at the DIS?

As the DIS's first Legal Operations Manager, I'm tasked with streamlining our workflows and boosting our processes' efficiency. In practical terms, this means exploring how we can leverage technology and new work methods to become faster, more accurate, and more flexible. While doing so, I always keep people at the forefront: my goal is to provide our employees with the best possible support and equip them with the tools they need. Of course, AI is also a major topic for us, and like everywhere else, it will significantly change our work.

What path led you to the DIS?

Quite simply, my profile. It's clear that we're a good fit. The combination of my legal education, my experience in the legal sector, and my passion for technology has led me to the DIS. I've always enjoyed working at the intersection of law and technology, and I see the DIS as a fantastic opportunity to contribute my skills on the user side. The DIS is a renowned institution with a long tradition, but it's also open to new ideas and innovations. I find that very exciting.

What do you particularly appreciate about your work?

What I particularly appreciate about my work is the variety of tasks that lie ahead. No two days will likely be the same. There's a wide range of needs, and therefore many very different projects. Optimizing existing and, above all, established processes is a major challenge, even if it sounds simple at first – keyword: change management. I enjoy being able to think strategically as well as play a decisive role in the implementation of projects. Additionally, I've already come to appreciate the collegial working atmosphere at the DIS very much, even after a short time.

What motivates you?

The reason this position was created: I'm motivated by the idea of contributing to making the DIS even more successful. I want to help us provide even better and faster service to the arbitration parties and make our institution even more attractive. Furthermore, I'm driven by curiosity to continually learn new things and develop further.

How would you describe the DIS in three key words?

I would describe the DIS as goal-oriented, conscientious, and experienced.

Tell us a fun fact we should know about you?

I could eat until I burst. Basically, I eat a very healthy and conscious diet. But woe betide anyone who puts food near me, I'll eat everything. I think I'm the one who consumes the most sweets in the office. In my circle of friends and family, I'm often referred to as a "glutton".
