The number of our bilateral arbitration groups (Ländergruppen) is increasing! Two new groups have been established with Brazil and Finland, respectively. In Brazil we are collaborating with the CAM-CCBC in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In Finland, the Finland Arbitration Institute in Helsinki is our cooperation partner.
Tim Rauschning from Hamburg co-chairs our Brazil group and Christian Theissen from Frankfurt has taken on this role for our cooperation with Finland. We are very grateful to our co-chairs and to all the other colleagues who have agreed to participate in the respective working groups.
We have selected the participants of our two new groups from those who responded to our call and told us about their interest in Brazil and Finland. If you are interested in the work of our bilateral arbitration groups, please take the opportunity to inform us about your areas of interest via our membership survey.
We look forward to the activities of the new groups, which will serve to build lasting bridges between the arbitration communities. Events organised by the new groups will be listed on the DIS Events page. You will also find the contact details of all the co-chairs there. If you are interested in the work of a particular country group, please contact the German co-chair directly.
Further new groups with Serbia, Norway and Luxembourg are in the process of being established and should be in place in the near future. We are very excited about the bilateral nature of our arbitration groups, which represents a new approach to cross-border cooperation.
