The key to better results when using generative AI lies in good prompting. Prompting is the process by which the user gives the artificial intelligence instructions or information on the basis of which the desired result is to be created.

It can help to keep the following in mind:

  • Simple and concise sentences
  • Add context
  • Use keywords

You have now learnt some of the most important tips for creating good and effective prompts. If you are interested, you can find further tips and application examples in the Prompting Guide (in German), which is part of the online course ‘AI for lawyers’.

The Bucerius Center on the Legal Profession and the Legal Tech Association Germany have developed the first online course "AI for Lawyers", which teaches the most important AI basics that every lawyer should know today. The course contains content specifically developed for the German legal market and has been created in collaboration with numerous experts.
