My career
- From 1995 to 2001, Stephan Bausch studied law at the Universities of Bonn (Germany) and Aix-en-Provence (France). In 1998, he took part in the 5th Willems C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna.From 2001 to 2003, Stephan Bausch wrote a comparative thesis on the constitutionality of videosurveillance measures against crime (Bonn and Toulouse). During his legal clerkship (2003 to 2005), he worked for the Regional Court of Cologne, the Public Prosecutor, the Notary Public Dr. Timm Starke (President of the German Federal Council of Notaries) and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (antitrust, competition and trade). He passed his 2nd State Examination in 2005.In 2006, Stephan Bausch became a member of the Dispute Resolution practice area of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Cologne and Frankfurt, where he focused on domestic and international disputes, mainly relating to commercial and corporate issues. In 2007, his focus shifted towards banks and bank-related institutions, starting with the nationwide representation of Deutsche Bank AG in numerous litigation proceedings relating to structured swaps.In 2013 Stephan Bausch joined Luther as a Partner.
