• Dr. Matthias Schüppen studied law in Freiburg and business management in Bochum and Hagen.
• He worked with Graf Kanitz & Partner from 1988 to 1992.
• In 1992 he joined Haarmann Hemmelrath, where he built up the firm’s Stuttgart office in 2001.
• Together with Thomas Graf von Kanitz and other partners he founded Graf Kanitz, Schüppen & Partner in 2006

Involved in numerous arbitration proceedings as attorney of record, five proceedings as arbitrator (also as chairman).
