Lunch DIScussions: International Arbitration and US Discovery after Luxshare vs. ZF?

DIS-Event

14. Jul 2022

Organizer: DIS

The US Supreme Court’s decision in Luxshare vs. ZF was closely watched by the German arbitration community, not the least because the underlying arbitration clause was a DIS clause. The Court held that US discovery under USC 28 § 1782 is not available in support of international arbitral tribunals. We discuss the impact of the decision with experts from both sides of the Atlantic. .

Dr. Barbara Maucher (Noerr, Düsseldorf), Derek Adler (Hughes Hubbard & Reed, New York) and Ted Folkman (Folkman, Boston) will discuss. The event will be moderated by Peter Bert (Taylor Wessing, Frankfurt).
