DIS40 Berlin: Sanctions & Arbitration - Perspectives from Berlin

DIS40-Event

Organizer: DIS40 Berlin

We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming DIS40 Berlin event “Sanctions & Arbitration – Perspectives from Berlin” on Thursday, 13 February 2025.

The event will kick-off at 18:30 h with a keynote presentation by Edward Rensmann (Hanefeld), who will share insights from his academic and practical experience on the impact of sanctions on international arbitration, addressing key issues that may come up during the lifecycle of an arbitration proceeding.

Following the keynote, Isabel Lightbody (Freshfields), Ole Jensen (ArbBoutique) and Edward will dive into a panel discussion and explore hot topics, including but not limited to a comparative perspective on Sect. 1032(2) German Procedural Code (ZPO) versus common-law anti-suit injunctions. Audience participation is encouraged to foster a thought-provoking and interactive dialogue.

After the panel discussion, we invite you to stay for networking and drinks, offering an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and connect with peers in the Berlin arbitration community.
