Reuter, Alexander

Mr. Reuter's principal areas of practice include corporate law and transactional matters (M&A including Private Equity, and PPP); Mr. Reuter also deals with financing instruments of all kinds such as multiple currency credit facilities, credit line and security arrangements, commercial paper and structured financings such as asset- backed arrangements, product and project financing, including the largest privately financed industrial project in Germany in recent years; Furthermore, Mr. Reuter has also broad expertise in restructuring of companies and balance sheet issues as well as in the legal structuring of industrial matters, including energy law matters, of all kinds. He also acts in arbitration procedures, both as counsel and as arbitrator.

• Associate professor at the Free University of Berlin from 1980 to 1983, lecturing on corporate, competition, antitrust and administrative law

• General counsel to Thyssen Stahl AG/Thyssen Krupp Stahl AG from 1995
• Opened the Düsseldorf office of White & Case in conjunction with two other partners in 1998

Dr. Reuter has been engaged in a variety of international and national arbitrations as arbitrator, counsel and expert, be these ICC, DIS, ad-hoc or other. The areas include commercial and corporate disputes, for example in the EPC arena, in international sales, in the energy sector, in shareholder controversies and in insurance matters.
