Vanessa Meireles advises and represents domestic and foreign clients in complex legal disputes. She has experience acting as a party representative, arbitrator and secretary of arbitral tribunals, as well as in-house counsel, in arbitration proceedings under international arbitration rules (such as DIS, ICC, ICSID) and in ad hoc dispute board and expert determination procedures. She specializes in international commercial and investment arbitration proceedings, with an emphasis on disputes in commercial and corporate law (e.g. post-M&A, joint ventures and international sales contracts), plant construction (notably power plants, such as hydroelectric power stations, solar power plants and offshore wind turbines), the energy and infrastructure sectors (e.g. oil and gas projects or long-term supply contracts) and investment disputes (investor-state disputes, ISDS). Due to her Brazilian roots, she is also particularly well versed in Latin American-related disputes.
